Marsala Pantone Color of the Year 2015

After radiant orchid of this year now let’s welcome Marsala! It is a vino-inspired color with universal appeal that can easily be translated in fashion, beauty, industrial designs, home furnishings and interiors. Yesterday, me and my make-up artist, Caryne tried to experiment a bit with this color and she emphasized on my eyes shadows. For me this is a hearty color that’s between the shades of red and undertone of brown that speaks about a groundy earth color robust with sophistication and luxury. What I am thankful about this color is that I can combine it with my previous seasons pieces like terra cotta which is a bit peachy and marine – that’s basically light blue. I’ve added an inspiration board here, some suggested color pairings and make-up sketches that might be useful for you. What do you think about this color? Will you likely wear it not?

Thanks to Caryne Magbanua for my make-up
